RUFF WEAR 2011
Our goal has always been to enhance the interaction between humans and canines.
That mission has stood the test of time…and we continually strive to design and build performance dog gear that allows our four-legged friends to accompany us on our
shared adventures, all while providing a level of safety and comfort in the great outdoors.
Because we’re inspired by our outdoor pursuits– backpacking, skiing, river running, mountain biking – it’s natural for us to utilize fabrics, hardware, materials and
construction processes that have been proven in the environment we live for and play in. Our dogs (as well as inspired individuals, just like you, with “professional”
canine testers) put our products through the paces, providing valuable feedback that motivates and drives Ruff Wear’s continuous product development.
At the end of the day, we believe it is the amazing connection with our dogs, and their ability to motivate us to get out and explore that makes all the hard work worth the
effort.
Dogs encourage us to follow our nose just to see where the experience takes us. They improve our health, our lives, and our outlook… and ask for little in return.

The product that has been the talk of the trails this seasonis Ruff Wear’s foray into Joring - you know - that crazy activity of harnessing up your dog, clipping into
a hip belt and seeing where your dog will tow you (and just how fast you will get there).
We’re calling this new set-up the Omnijore™ Joring System, as it is designed both for use on snow and in non-snow environments for year-round fun.
While the unique tow bridle configuration allows humans to face forward for skiing or running, the Omnijore system is equally adept when the human assumes a sideways
stance, such as on a mountainboard or skateboard. It seems that once you harness up, dogs’ innate ancestral traits rise to the surface and you’re both off and running.
Whether you are skiing (classic or skate), mountainboarding, skateboarding, bike-joring or simply running (cani-cross), Ruff Wear’s new Omnijore Joring System is a great
way to connect with dogs, and get that wind-in-your-face kind of feeling.
After cool weather activities we all need to take a breather now and then. The technology of keeping warm for two-leggers following aerobic or during casual activities has
made great strides in the past several years. We took what’s working for humans and adopted this concept for dogs.
Ruff Wear’s new Quinzee™ Insulated Jacket is a streamlined puffy that is water repellant and utilizes lightweight synthetic loft for exceptional warmth. We built this coat
using the same fabric and insulation technology that’s been proven in our Highlands Bed™. While we based the fit on Ruff Wear’s innovative jacket cut and belly coverage,
we’ve given the Quinzee a fuller cold-weather cut for further protection against the elements, while still allowing for full range of motion. If you have a puffy jacket, you
already know how warm, light, and comfortable our Quinzee is.

winter sun gets low in the sky. Advancements in LED technologies enabled us to improve the quality and performance of the LED’s durability, light output and overall
function in the Beacon. This new version features a smaller, more compact design that is easy to clip to leashes, collars, or any of our dog-worn gear through Ruff Wear’s
integrated light loop connection point.
The Beacon is a simple solution to the age old issue of seeing and being seen. And, just to keep it all playful we have reworked all of our natural rubber toys with fresh,
new, easy-to-spot colors. Check out the redesigned Sqwash™, Square- Ball™, Gourdo™ and TurnUp™ for some interactive fun.
Well, that about wraps up what we have been up to here at Ruff Wear. I guess I better grab the shovel and relocate a few more inches of the accumulated snow
