The Pet Flys Story

Pet Flys was created by Tammy Ann Arnett, who, by her own admission was always a "big dog" person…until she rescued a little Min Pin. At that point everything changed for her! With a
new understanding of the wonder and fascination that comes with having a small dog, she developed Pet Flys.

Monkey, her traveling Min Pin, made it clear that he would go everywhere with her if it were up to him to decide these things. When she searched for a Carrier to be able to take Monkey
along on her travels, she could not find what she was after in a reasonable price range. All of the carriers she liked were extremely costly and not quite cool enough. At that point frustration
set in. As she pondered her options, an idea struck! Having over two decades experience in fashion design, manufacturing and marketing she decided to make her own Carriers! She
knew her Carriers had to be a fusion of function and fashion. After months of research and development, she debuted her initial carrier product line at the 2003 H.H. Backer Christmas
show in Chicago and opened many stores. At that time there were two designs in one airline approved size, with more exciting designs and sizes to follow.

Since then the Pet Flys family has grown quite a bit and there are now three sizes of Pet Flys carriers (mini, small and super) and many hot new carrier designs as well as coordinating
Ready~2~Ride apparel. Apparel styles offered are the “Sadie Sundress” as well as the “Weezil Wifebeater.” Outfits feature patches that match the carriers and are scented with fun smells
like Strawberry, Bubble Gum, Hawaiian Punch, Lemon-Lime, and “Old Spicey”…some even glow in the dark…perfect for the fashionista in you or your pet.

In keeping true to her love of big dogs, Tammy and Pet Flys are thrilled to announce that they will soon be offering plus sized apparel for larger breeds, with all the same unique features
included for the little ones! Plus sizes will finally include our not-so-small friends who are quite often left out and want to be cool, too!

In addition, Pet Flys offers matching “Mommy & Me” tee shirts in select styles and sizes that will be available online soon.
